Customer experience - Couperose Before and after :)
Fast forward to April when we received a nice e-mail from her with enthusiasm. She had seen on our Instastory that we were curious about the experiences and reactions of our customers. And so she has sent us her amazing progress with photos.
The question - couperose
Hielll asked a short question under one of our instagram post in January. "Do you have a brand that you can advise on couperose?"
Couperose is a skin condition where the skin is very thin, making it sensitive to stimuli. It is an innocent condition that causes redness and visible blood vessels. Unfortunately, couperose will not disappear without medical treatments, e.g. laser. But you can of course reduce it, making it less visible in daily life.
Our recommendation for Hielll was to use calming ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Centella Asiatica, Licorice, and so on, to stop the irritations and soothe the skin. In addition, it is a matter of camouflaging with, for example, the Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer from Klairs.
We have advised Hielll in short to avoid stimuli and sun so that the skin does not become redder. Soothe the skin to reduce her redness and use a concealer during the day for more self-confidence.
The reaction - calmed down
A few months after our contact via Instagram we received a nice email from Hielll. She describes in her email that she has a difficult combination of couperose and eczema, so she needs hydration but also needs to avoid oily products.
Couperose ensures that she quickly suffers from redness (like always blushing cheeks), and because of her eczema, her face is often irritated and itchy.
On the before, during and after photos it is clear to see that her skin has calmed down and is less red.

The approach - mild and gentle
Because her skin is so sensitive to stimuli it requires a different approach than most of us are probably used to. For example, Hielll uses in the morning only water and toner to cleanse her face. This 'NO-CLEANSER' technique was also described before in our blog article: "Skincare hacks for sensitive skin to become more calm and glowing". Additionally, she uses the gentle Moringa Cleansing Balm and / or the Marshmallow Cleasing Cream from Enature every evening to cleanse her face. After cleansing, she uses the Vitamin Hyaluronic Acid Vitalizing Toner from Iunik to prepare the skin and 3 times a week she uses the Black Snail Restore Serum from Iunik to soothe, hydrate and nourish the skin. To moisturize her skin and form a protective barrier she uses the Enature Birch Juice Hydro Cream and of course a sunscreen every morning.
To extra soothe and nourish she uses an Enature sheet mask twice a week and during the day she has a DIY facial mist from Son & Park's Beauty Water with her for extra soothing and hydration.
By choosing mild products and combining it with the right routine and a more gentle way of application, she made sure that her skin was less stimulated with irritations, while receiving sufficient care and hydration.

Conclusion
What really helped Hielll with her couperose and eczema is switching to a mild approach. Which means that she is more gentle with her skin. She now uses gentle products and has stopped using scrubs and thick facial masks. She now also waits longer between the steps to allow the products to be fully absorbed by her skin.
Hielll was always very patiently in following tips from different sources, and she often tried a new learned tip for several months. So she knows the frustrations and despair like no other. But fortunately she is currently as she says: "no tomato now" and "minimal red"!
Together with Hielll we hope that these personal tips can provide your with better help, and if you are struggling, you can always contact Haru Haru Beauty. ^__^
